The works on this album slowly came into existence over the course of 2020 and 2021. In the absence of concerts and rehearsals, making music took on a different meaning. The communal process of working and playing together became a deeply solitary experience, that could only take place when the world had gone silent enough to record the quietest of sounds.

Caeruleus - for bass clarinet, cello & percussion and We searched the ruins of our house - for three clarinets - are written & performed by Jesse Broekman. The work Caeruleus has been made possible with the generous support of the Investeringsfonds Muziek.
